What we see depends on where we focus.Vision chooses the destination. The act of Seeing requires us to decide what matters, look with fresh eyes at data and non-data truths about where we are, and begin understanding themes and next steps to bridge the gap.
The "Seeing" part of Vision is all about directing focus. Focus on long-term sets the course. Focus on short-term checks assumptions against reality. Focus on medium-term allows for course corrections. Where and how we focus matters - the systems we use, the data we track, the questions we ask, and of whom.
